OUR SERVICESSuccessful Job-Finding StoriesCareer ChangeJean-Marc had been working in the restaurant industry for years, primarily as a cook. After more than 11 years, he started to lose interest in his work; he felt he had done all there was to do and his job was not challenging anymore. Furthermore, he found his 60-hour work week was impinging upon his family life. At 31, Jean-Marc was interested in trying something new: he wanted to change his career without having to return to school. Ideally, he wanted a job where he could work with the public. He met with one of our counsellors, who helped him identify his values, aptitudes and interests. Jean-Marc was pleased with the results of the psychometric tests that confirmed his new career choice. With the counsellor’s assistance, he finally decided to be a representative in the food industry, which enabled him to combine his knowledge of the restaurant industry and his desire to work with the public.
